Evidence of Work:
This project was all about power grids and how they work. We first started it off with experimenting with different shapes and sizes of blades on a wind turbine to find the "best" blade. After that we worked on creating an experiment using an electromagnet and staples. We also looked at a motor and dissected it to understand how it worked. After a few weeks of learning about microgrids, we took a field trip to go see one. Then we were told that we had three days to design one to power Novato or San Marin High School. Our group chose to power San Marin. In our grid we used a mixture of solar power and natural gas generators.

Content:
Voltage- The potential energy difference from one side of a component to another. It is also called the "push" or "drop." The equation is V=ir.
Current- The "flow" or charge through a circuit. The equation is also V=ir.
Circuit- A complete loop of conductive material from one side of a power source (+) to another (-).
Series Circuit- When resisters/components are one after another in a loop. The current goes through all of them.
Parallel Circuit- When resisters/components are on separate paths. The current can go on either or any path. Current wants to go on the path with the least resistance or obstacles.
Power- The rate at which electrical energy is transferred by a circuit.
Reflection:
This project had many different parts to it but it was so much fun to do. I feel like we did really well on this project but I think I could have improved some parts of it. When we started the project I felt like I was off task some of the time. This led to us being behind and rushing the day before we had to present. I think could have also done better with time management. It was stressful to have to finish it all on the last day we had to work on it. I feel like we did a good job at working together because when we were working on our slideshow we slit up the sections to finish it faster. I feel like I did a good job at making sure everyone knew what we were working on.
