Evidence of Work:
After deciding on a single prototype to continue with, we researched the entire life cycle of our product to take into consideration the whole effect of producing it. As a group we split up the different parts of the life cycle and researched all the different materials that would be needed to create our product on a big scale. We focused on all parts of the process including transportation, production, costs, distribution, and how the materials will be disposed of after its lifetime. This helped our group figure out the best ways to manufacture and distribute our product with the least environmental and costly impacts.

Content:
Full Container Load (FCL) - a 20 by 40 foot crate used when shipping products overseas.
Styrene-Butadiene Rubber (SBR) - a typical kind of synthetic rubber made from styrene and butadiene. Products like tires and heavy duty industrial uses.
Potassium Chloride - the result of mixing potassium hydroxide and carbon dioxide. It is an aqueous solution that contains the carbon dioxide within it and water.
Billings - a semi finished long strip of steel with a square cross section. Normally made into wire or thin strips.
Blooms - a semi finished long strip of steel with a square cross section. Normally made into finished steel bars for construction use.
Annealing - a heat treatment used in making steel that releases internal stresses and hardness.
Descaling - a chemical process metals are put through to get rid of unwanted residue. during the process of making the metals, some chemicals can get stuck on the metal so this process helps get rid of that.
Piercing - a method used in stamping steel to cut out hole in the steel in an efficient and quick way. Some of the parts of our product will have to be cut this way.
Dies and Rams - two instruments used in stamping steel that push the metal into the right positions. They do so by having positive an negative space in between the sheet of metal so when the ram pushes on the metal, it will be molded into place.
TIG Welding - gas tougnsten arc welding uses an arc welding process where a welding rod is used to add material in between the space to mold the two prices together. Our product will need to be welded together so the outside shell is durable enough.
